    LET THE GAMES BEGIN

    Blessed Rain!
    rivers cool,
    gone fishing.

.. The "OFFICIAL" start of Fall may be a few days off - BUT! the morning dawned with a gentle, soaking rain. The kind of rain that says, "just one more cup of coffee."
    .. We had two.
.. Now it's time to see if the fish are ready for the festivities. It's 20 degrees cooler this morning than it was yesterday at this time & that's a good thing.
.. The weather mavens promise that this won't last, but the radar shows that it is a large enough system to cool the rivers and slow the fires. Eyes will quit watering, noses will quit running, throats will quit searing, and perhaps the bugs and the fish will rejoice.
.. We had the rain gear ready, but it's musty smelling - great! Keeps the near-sighted women away. This will be a day for the centuries. The visitors will all be shopping, (can't visit the park in the rain - Ha!)
.. We're off to some placid and fairly shallow water where this will make a difference. If the forecast holds; tomorrow should be better, and Sunday, and Monday, and . . .
    .. Report tomorrow.
