.. West Yellowstone, Montana has one of the finest airport runway's in North America. Air Force One has landed here several times. "So What?"; you say... Well - here's the "what" - there is a new visitor center at Canyon Village and the official Department Of Interior contingent will be arriving to dedicate the center.
.. The Secretary Dirk Kempthorne, (from Idaho,) outgoing NPS Boss, Fran Mainella, (from Florida,) and Yellowstone Park Superintendent Susan Lewis will all be there.
.. There will be mounted park rangers, plain clothing officers, guns on the roofs, cameras in the bushes, hand held detectors, and other accoutrement's of official Washington.
.. This happens every year or so and the chaos is a delight to behold.
.. Several Suburbans arrived last night - complete with suits, guns, red & blue lights in the grill, AND pretty little gold badges. These guys don't have a smile in their arsenal.
.. There will be festivities including a concert by Bruce Anfinson, western folk recording artist - (We think this is a big deal?) And press tours, and hand shaking, and of course pat-downs --- YEEEE-HA!
.. We're going to Ennis and fish Bear Trap Canyon. The water is still cold there and the fishing pressure light.

.. Finally, we apologise, again, for the temporary outage that the blog experienced yesterday. We got trapped in a cyber-switch that was way beyond our control, (hell, we can barely type,) and the glitch prevented about 175 loyal visitors from getting their update. We've been assured that it won't happen again.
