    Sorry Irving

    RAIN IN THE MORNING
    SNOW AT NIGHT
    with apologies to Irving Berlin

    -------
.. The weather is turning - kind'a. The rains and snows are back but the temperatures remain plenty warm.
.. As the snow falls and melts instantly the river discharge rates are beginning to climb. Most of the local waters are still being fished. The streams of Yellowstone will display the increase by this weekend.
.. Watching the mix of precipitation in any given 24 hour period is entertaining if you are a meteorologist. We just marvel at the way it can snow at warm temperatures.
.. There's a bit more open water in the estuaries of Hebgen Reservoir and Quake Lake. Down canyon the Gallatin River is fishing well around Red Cliff, Big Sky, and 4-Corners. A couple of the neighbors tried the section between the Taylor Fork and the park line. Some encouraging nibbles but no fish porn to post.
.. Time for a bit of breakfast.
