.. Eventually, as we all sat vegetating with a cold one, the topic of "sport" floated to the surface.

.. Is fly fishing a sport? Are casting championships worthy of the name? Is a fly tying marathon sport?
.. This endless topic is neither new nor particularly engaging. It is certainly a pastime. We'll leave it at that.
.. On the other hand INDOOR SKYDIVING certainly qualifies: so too, skiing, skateboarding, dry land bobsledding, swimming, etc.
.. It's hard to imagine a sport more "mind and body involved" than indoor skydiving. It's sort of like a combination of chess and gymnastics and dancing and boxing and precision fly casting rolled into one.

.. Our preferred sport is 16 ounce curls: elbows firmly planted on the bar.
.. We need the exertion since our biceps brachii are a bit on the flabby side.
.. We need the muscle tone to move the damn heavy Regal Vise around the tying bench. The thread and feathers and tinsel and bobbins don't present much of a problem - but the vise . . . .
.. Time to get in some other practice and remove a few hundred pounds of snow from our environs. Maybe after breakfast.
