.. We do wonder if there is a parallel between the hype about sustainable salmon to eat and, the hype about river protection for fishers and commercial usage?.. How 'bout putting the whole riverine ecological zone at the forefront? Bugs? Beavers? Crawdads? Scouring? Erosion? Human piss and poop? Crushed riverbanks? Otters? Muskrats? Capricious dam discharges? Fertilizer runoff? AND, so much more!
.. Have we lost sight of the big picture? Bits of fixits here and there will hardly last for the ages. Such is the mind of the fisher.
