.. Eclipse fever is rampant in our village. This little microcosm of our world is in full anticipation of the solar eclipse. We'll only get about 90% of the sun covered.
.. We are less than 80 miles from excellent viewing of 100% coverage but most visitors are concerned about traffic and restroom facilities = never occurred to us.
.. It seems that a partial eclipse and the convenience of a place to pee in private is good enough for throngs of visitors.

.. Should you find yourself in West Yellowstone and, should you have been lucky enough to find a parking space and, should you be here at 6:00 AM you too can participate in the festivities.
.. You too, can enter the contest for the best decorated ISO approved sunglasses.
.. You can sit on the lawn of the bank and eat free sun chips. You can make S'mores in a solar oven. You can have discounted solar cappuccino at the new Starbucks. You can partake of a lecture about the wonders of the universe.

.. Should you choose to visit us for the eclipse and urinary facilities there is ample parking reserved, (by special USFS permit,) on the 80 acres of the old airport just west of town. A row of portable comfort stations, (slush thrones,) is already being set up.

THE SPIRIT OF FLY FISHING AT OUR LIBRARY

.. Many of the neighbors have already stocked up on essential supplies such as charcoal, beef cuts, toilet paper, lemonade, and other adult beverages. We're among the well prepared.
.. For the grizzled and staid fly fishers who find themselves in town around this event there is an exceptionally fine photo exhibit in our library. It features the fly fishing photography of some of our local, (world renowned,) fly fishing photographers, (LINK-P.)
.. For the few who intend to fish there are some solitary places, both inside and, close to Yellowstone National Park. We're headed to Notellum Backwater for some dances with sprightly trout.
.. Despite the common conception that the eclipse is only a couple of minutes long; it starts at about 10:00 AM and lasts until about 1:45 PM. Totality, (or full incursion,) is around 2 minutes at 11:45 AM.

.. It's coming on daylight and the second pot is ready, (having a midlife morning.) We have the gear ready and this is a good hour to start the drive to the waters on the east side of the park. We'll get through the construction zones before the work starts and the lines form.
