.. Both the Firehole River and the Gibbon River broke their "for-the-day" record yesterday.
.. They did it within an hour of each other and even today's slight cool down is not going to help the catching on either river. The Firehole River reached it's "Official Bankfull Stage" at about 10:00 AM.
.. The Gibbon River already has temperature spikes to 60° F. On Sunday our thermometer showed the Firehole River at 58° F. This is unusual!
.. It's not a new phenomenon. The weather pattens are changing. Our winters have been prolonged and our spring time has been abbreviated. We're just going to have to get used to it.
.. We'll let you in on a dirty little secret tomorrow.
