Public Involved In Preserving 'Westies'

.. A Year ago, and again last Fall, (September, 15,) we noted the New West article about the project to replace one natural fishery with another.
.. Now the Missoulian reports that the project will be on public display at a public informational meeting in Kalispell tomorrow. The meeting is to be held at the Montana Department of Fish Wildlife and Parks agency office between 5 and 9 PM.
.. Biologists and fisheries staff will be on hand to explain and discuss the rotenone poisoning in the Jewell Basin.
This ten-year project has attracted conservationists and fishers of all stripes and is not without controversy. The treatment of the back country lakes and rivers is detailed at the FWP site.
